"Exploring the Beauty of Cluxewe RV Resort and Camping on Vancouver Island, BC Canada"

Cluxewe Resort is a unique and natural wonder located in the land of the Kwakiutl people in British Columbia, Canada. The name “Cluxewe” has two meanings: “place of the changing river mouth” and "place of refuge".

The resort is situated where the Cluxewe River meets the Broughton Strait. It’s nestled on 61 acres of towering trees, flowing waters, and ocean air. The resort is approximatly 4 1/2 hours drive north on Vancouver Island’s east coast from Nanaimo, or a 20-minute drive south from Port Hardy.

Cluxewe Resort offers a variety of accommodations.

There are twelve cozy cottages, including a 3-unit “tri-plex,” each equipped with cooking and dining utensils, a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, and a full bathroom. Cottages also feature TV/VCR’s with satellite television.

In addition to the cottages, the resort offers 152 campsites, many of which are located on the ocean and Cluxewe River estuary. These sites are fully or partially serviced, perfect for RV or tent camping.

The resort is a wonderful retreat for artists, writers, nature lovers, and fishermen. You can listen to waves splash on the shoreline, awaken to the sound of loons or the screech of a bald eagle, and enjoy fabulous summer sunsets over Broughton Strait.
