If you're looking for an adventure of a lifetime, consider taking your RV on a cross-country trip across the beautiful landscapes of Canada.
From the rugged West Coast to the bustling East Coast, there is no shortage of stunning views and exciting experiences to be had along the way.
In this blog entry, we'll take you through our recent RV trip from Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia all the way to Halifax, Nova Scotia and beyond.
Day 1: Vancouver Island to Chilliwack BC.
Our journey began on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, where we loaded up our RV, and jumped onto the BC ferry to Horseshoe Bay terminal on the Vancouver side.
and hit the road toward Bridal Falls Campground,
We stopped at several picturesque spots for photos before arriving at our campsite in Chilliwack.
We could see mountains and lush forests along the way.
Day 2: Exploring Camper-land RV resort.
We spent the day exploring The bridal falls, hiking through the beautiful trails, and taking in the breathtaking views. In the evening, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with fellow travelers in the onsite restaurant before retiring to our cozy RV for the night.
Here we spent the next couple of days sorting out the RV and letting the grand-kids burn off some energy in the pool
Day 5: We continued our journey eastward, stopping in Revelstoke, BC
Located just a stone's throw away from downtown Revelstoke, this RV campground is nestled among towering trees and rolling hills. The moment you step into the campsite, you'll be greeted by the warm aroma of freshly cut grass and the sound of birds chirping in harmony.

Revelstoke's Natural Wonders
Revelstoke is a nature lover's paradise, offering endless opportunities for outdoor adventure:
Hiking Trails: Explore over 100 km of hiking trails in the surrounding mountains, including the popular Illecillewaet Trail.
Lake Revelstoke: Enjoy water sports like kayaking or paddle-boarding on this picturesque lake.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort: Hit the slopes at one of Canada's top ski resorts during winter months.
Next stop: Calgary Alberta
Had no luck finding a camping spot close to Calgary, so ended up in a place out in Wheatland County
Now this place was not only far from where we needed to be and must have been the most Redneck place in Alberta. It was a good thing we were not there much, seeing as we were there to visit our youngest daughter.
Day 11: Calgary to Kilton Hill in Swift Current Saskatchewan. not much here, however, we did find an orange tent guy who was repairing windshield chips so we took advantage of that as we encountered a stone-throwing dump truck along the way.
Our curious 5-year-old needed to ensure that all the cracks were gone.
Day 12: Next stop was Oak lake in Manitoba, and on to Kenora, Ontario at kakabeka and then Wawa RV resort, in Ontario.
What a wide province it took to get through what seemed to be forever.
Day ???? lost count, we arrived in Terrebonne Quebec, home of my best friend and brother-in-law Steve.
We stayed here only long enough to find that the sewer pipes leading to the septic system needed repairs,
The RV's shocks needed replacing.
With these tasks out of the way, it was time to rest and celebrate
then we were on our way East.
Next stop: Edmonston New Brunswick then during a massive rain storm we arrived in Nova Scotia at Aunt Dianne & Ivan's place in Five Islands.
Apparently there is a salute to Mother Nature....must agree after what we just went through.

After a lovely visit with family in the Springhill and Parrsborro area it was off to
Halifax.
Halifax, the vibrant capital of Nova Scotia, effortlessly blends history, culture, and natural beauty. From its bustling waterfront to the rugged coastline, there's something to captivate every visitor. This blog post will explore some of Halifax's must-see attractions, including the famed waterfront boardwalk and a journey beyond the city to the breathtaking Five Islands.

Stretching for approximately 4 kilometers (2.5 miles), the boardwalk winds along the harbor, offering stunning views of the city scape, Georges Island, and the bustling activity of the waterfront.

Montreal comes alive in the summer! The city bursts with energy as festivals fill the streets, parks become havens for relaxation, and the joie de vivre is contagious. Here's a glimpse into a typical Montreal summer:
A Season of Festivals:
One of the defining characteristics of summer in Montreal is its incredible array of festivals. There's something for everyone, from music lovers to comedy enthusiasts.

On this part of the trip we were lucky to have been able to visit the countryside north of the big city.
