On the way back from the east coast portion of our cross Canada 🇨🇦 road trip we encountered the remnants of the tropical storm DEBBIE.
After driving for 4 hours along the highway 2 from Nova Scotia we had but 2 hours remaining in our voyage back to Montreal it started raining. At first the rain was intermittent but it soon began to fall pretty hard, and even harder as we got closer.
By the time we reached Repentigny Quebec, visibility was down to 0, emergency flashers on, cars and trucks pulled over onto the shoulder that was quickly starting to wash away, water cursed across the road and winds blowing the rv allover the place we pushed on.
Upon arriving at our destination in Terrebonne Quebec ther rains were hard and heavy, to say nothing about the wind.
We set-up the rv and promptly changed into dry clothes and settled in for the night.
Next day there was devastating flooding 😢 everywhere. Some primary roads were closed for as much as 4 days.
Fast forward 2 weeks and yet another tragedy explodes in the center of Montreal with a huge water main break.
All this rain is making us feel alot like home on the Westcoast of Canada 🇨🇦.
