What started as a short Vancouver Island stay at Living Forest campground in February, has taken a turn. Temperatures started to drop from a balmy 10 degrees Celsius to sub-zero temperatures.

We tried to make the best of the evenings even though the white stuff was starting to fall.

The next morning was when things turned.

A serene, snow-covered road winds through a forest, blanketed by freshly fallen snow and lined with tall, frosted trees.

Though the damage cost us a portable shelter we sustained no injury.

Note to self: Get a stronger Shelter for winter camping trips and remove the cover when snow is in the forcast.
